§ 10001. Salary scales

As of July 1, 1996, the salary of graduate nurses of the Department of Health, the Health Facilities and Services Administration (AFASS) and the Mental Health and Addiction Services Administration (ASSMCA) is hereby raised by one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125) per month and the salary of practical nurses of those same institutions by one hundred dollars ($100) per month.

Salary schedules that shall govern the Nursing Personnel of the Department of Health as of July 1, 1996:

Salary schedules that shall govern the Nursing Personnel of the Health Facilities and Services Administration as of July 1, 1966:

The salary schedules which shall govern the Nursing Personnel of the Mental Health and Addiction Services Administration as of July 1, 1996, shall be the salary schedules in effect as of July 1, 1993, pursuant to this chapter, for the nursing personnel of Mental Health; the salary schedules for the Nursing Personnel of the former Addiction Services Department shall be those that appear in the eighth (8th) appropriation of classes of June 4, 1983, revised as of April 1, 1984. The Classification and Compensation Plan of Mental Health and Addiction Services Administration must consider the raise of one hundred dollars ($100) and one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125) which is granted by this chapter for the nursing personnel of said agency upon the termination thereof.

The funds needed to defray the costs of the nursing personnel salary raises provided in Section 1 of this Act for fiscal year 1996-1997, shall be included in a special appropriation. For subsequent fiscal years they shall be consigned annually in the Operational Expenses Budget of the Department of Health, the Health Facilities and Services Administration (AFASS) and the Mental Health and Addiction Services Administration (ASSMCA).
