§ 6166f. Notice of death of persons in the institution

When a patient who was admitted to an institution dies within the same, the director shall be obliged to notify the corresponding prosecuting office so that an autopsy is ordered. The proceedings shall be carried out pursuant to §§ 3001 et seq. of Title 34, known as the “Puerto Rico Institute of Forensic Sciences Act”. In those cases in which the person was admitted by a court order, the director shall notify the court that issued the admission order.
