The number of outpatient visits to mental healthcare services may not be limited by a direct or an indirect mental healthcare service provider, except as provided for in this chapter. The need for outpatient services on an ongoing basis shall be assessed by the inter- or multidisciplinary team or by the mental healthcare professional responsible for the care of the person receiving mental healthcare services. Outpatient visits include, among others, but are not limited to introductory visits, follow-up visits, and collateral visits.
