Every funeral service business shall operate in one or more establishments duly authorized by the Permit Management Office and shall hold a sanitary license issued by the Secretary of Health. In addition, said business shall meet all the requirements provided by the laws and regulations of Puerto Rico, and those provided by municipal ordinance, according to the municipality where the business is located. Any funeral or cremation service that entails a viewing, burial, transport to another country, or cremation shall be offered by a funeral home or crematory duly licensed and authorized by the pertinent Departments and/or agencies of the Government of Puerto Rico.
