All human remains shall be transported in a body bag, protected from plain sight, so as not to become a hazard to public health.
If more than twenty-four (24) hours after the death have elapsed, human remains shall be embalmed prior to transportation, unless transported in a sealed metal casket.
In accordance with §§ 3001 et seq. of Title 34, any human remains under the jurisdiction of the Institute of Forensic Sciences shall not be embalmed without previous authorization from the Institute.
