(a) The cadavers donated to the Board shall be used for the purposes established in the donation.
(b) Those unclaimed cadavers shall be used exclusively for the donation of tissues or for anatomical demonstrations, dissection and other similar purposes pertaining to teaching, health and the progress of medicine.
(c) When the organs of a body are used for transplants, the death certificate, issued by two (2) physicians authorized to practice medicine in Puerto Rico, shall be conclusive. Provided, That with the exception of the removal of the corneas, the physicians who certify the death shall not take active part in the autopsy or in the removal of the tissues or organ, or in the transplantation thereof, but they may be present in these procedures for the exclusive purpose of giving or obtaining information on the condition of the one who was their patient. Provided, further, That the determination of the death shall be made pursuant to the criteria established in the definition of death of §§ 3620—3620y of this title.
