The Board shall have the following duties:
(a) Opt those rules and regulations needed for its internal operation and for the processing of donations received pursuant to the provisions of §§ 3620—3620y of this title.
(b) Regulate the storage, use and disposition of the cadavers or parts thereof. Such rules and regulations, once approved and promulgated pursuant to the law, shall have force of law.
(c) Keep a registry in which all donations of cadavers or parts thereof made in Puerto Rico shall be registered pursuant to the provisions of §§ 3620-3620y of this title. Each entry shall include the name, address and personal circumstances of the donor, as well as the name and address of the donee, nature of the donation, and date and place of execution of the donation document and the registration date thereof.
The Board shall also establish, develop, and maintain an electronic record of anatomical gifts for transplants as provided in § 3620w-1 of this title.
(d) Shall be the depository responsible for the processing of donations cases in which the intention of the donor that the donee be a specific person is stated.
(e) In the case of an organization entrusted with obtaining, processing and distributing organs and tissues, the Board shall take into consideration their compliance with the procedures and rules established by their regulating agencies and other organizations that govern them such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
