§ 3013. Professional regulation and evaluation organizations—Other functions

The professional regulation and evaluation organizations shall perform the following additional functions:

(a) They shall establish and maintain a close relationship with the examining boards corresponding to the professions they represent, and shall collaborate mutually to see that first-rate health services be offered to the people at the lowest possible cost. As part of this relationship said organizations may make surveys and recommendations to the corresponding examining boards on matters relating to the different health professions.

(b) Said organizations may attend consultations and offer counsel.

(c) Receive, investigate and resolve any complaint or charge connected with the provision of the professional services represented by each, brought before them by any consumer or member of said profession, and shall submit a report to the examining board and the corresponding agency, in the case of government employees, with due consideration to the confidential nature of the investigation and report, for the proper action.
