(a) The Secretary may accept donations to be used for the prevention, treatment, education, study and research, or any other diabetes-related purposes. The money thus obtained shall be deposited in the Health Fund created under Act No. 26 of November 25, 1975, as amended, and shall be used exclusively as provided in this subsection.
(b) The Secretary shall take affirmative action relying on the data gathered in the Registry to guarantee the appropriation of Federal funds that facilitate the prevention, treatment, education, study, and research, or diabetes- related purposes.
