P.R. Laws tit. 24, § 614
(a) The Diabetes Registry of the Department of Health shall be in charge of establishing and keeping the registry of diabetes cases with the human and financial resources allocated for such purposes. The Diabetes Registry of the Department of Health may request and obtain from physicians, laboratories, or public and private facilities any pertinent information regarding the follow-up of these cases.
(b) When necessary, the Diabetes Registry of the Department of Health shall have trained personnel to search for cases, visit and obtain information regarding said cases at the physicians' offices, laboratories, and other healthcare institutions, as provided in §§ 612 and 613(a) of this title.
