P.R. Laws tit. 24, § 92
For the purposes of §§ 92—92d of this title, the words and phrases defined herein shall have the meanings set forth below:
(a) Person. — Natural or juridical person.
(b) Hospital. — Includes general, chronic disease, mental disease hospitals, and other types of hospitals and facilities related therewith. It also includes rehabilitation centers, asylums, nursing homes, diagnostic and treatment centers, and other medical facilities.
(c) Clinical laboratories and blood banks. — Those included within the definitions of §§ 91—91i of this title.
(d) Diagnostic and treatment equipment. — Any equipment or part thereof used by the medical and paramedical classes in Puerto Rico to diagnose illnesses and treat patients.
(e) Food processing machines. — Any machine or part thereof used in hospitals to supply food to patients, visitors and/or employees.
