§ 74g. Municipal health, treatment and diagnosis centers—Personnel; transfers; vested rights

To carry out the purposes of §§ 74a—74u of this title, the Department may transfer its personnel to the municipalities and may also transfer the regular vacation and sick leave that said personnel has accumulated, subject to the applicable legal provisions. In those cases in which the agreement is terminated or is not renewed, the Department is not bound to absorb the employees of the municipality in question.

The transfer of personnel made in accordance with the provisions of §§ 74a—74u of this title shall not impair, reduce or affect the rights, privileges and prerogatives those officials and employees have acquired under §§ 862 et seq. of Title 3 and the personnel laws and regulations in effect, and said transfers shall be conducted within the standards established by Act No. 5 of October 14, 1975, known as the Public Service Personnel Act and the Regulations on the Essential Areas of the Merit Principal and on transfers.
