The Secretary of the Treasury is hereby authorized to make provisional advances from any available funds in the Commonwealth Treasury of the Government of Puerto Rico to the Puerto Rico Police, to the Commonwealth Emergency Management and Disaster Administration Agency, the Fire Fighters Corps, the Corrections Administration, the Juvenile Institutions Administration, and the Office of Pretrial Services, hereinafter “the agencies”, in order to defray the payment of overtime worked by the personnel that comprise the public safety bodies of these agencies.
