§ 2808. Licenses—Application and issuance fees

Any aspirant to obtaining a license as an operator of a treatment plant and/or system of any class and category who meets the requirements established in § 2808a of this title may apply to the Board for an examination for the issue thereof.

The application for examination shall be made on the form and have the documents and photographs enclosed as the Board determines by regulation. The application shall also include the corresponding fees pursuant to the Service Fee Regulations of the Examining Boards attached to the Department of State. Provided, That the fees mentioned herein shall be covered into the General Fund of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

Any person to whom a license has been issued pursuant to the provisions of this chapter must bear it with him/her while he/she works in the operation of the treatment plant and/or system and the same shall be nontransferable. Provided, That an operator with a license, whether permanent or by reciprocity, may exercise as such in the class and category of the corresponding plant and/or system or in a lesser category for which the license has been issued. A person with a provisional license may only exercise as operator in the plant and/or system for which class and category the license has been issued.
