§ 152. Board—Creation

The Board of Chiropractic Examiners of Puerto Rico is hereby created, which shall be composed of three (3) doctors in chiropractic, of recognized ability and moral repute, and who are graduates of a chiropractic school or college accepted by the Chiropractic Association of Puerto Rico.

Each member of the Board, including public officials, shall receive fifty dollars ($50) for each day or fraction thereof in which they render services to the Board, plus compensation for travel expenses as established in the regulations of the Department of the Treasury. As of January 1, 1997, the members of the Board shall receive per diems equal to the minimum per diems established in § 29 of Title 2 for the members of the Legislature for their attendance to sessions or committee meetings, for each session, special meeting, or committee meeting, or of any other body, or for performing any task authorized by the chairperson of the board to which they belong, except for those who are head[s] of agencies of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and its Instrumentalities, with the exception of the Chairperson of the Board, who shall receive per diems equal to one hundred and thirty-three percent 133%) [of] the per diems received by the other members of the Board.
