§ 2185. License—Application

(a) Any applicant for a license to practice as a dietitian or nutritionist in Puerto Rico shall file his/her application before the Board in the official form prepared by the latter to that effect.

(b) Any applicant who fails the revalidation examination on three (3) occasions may not take a new examination until he/she presents convincing evidence to the Board attesting that he/she has taken and approved the pertinent course or courses after his/her particular situation has been evaluated by the Board. Once the person has taken and approved the course or courses required herein, he/she may take the examination on three (3) additional occasions. Were these courses unavailable, the applicant will have three (3) additional opportunities for taking the revalidation examination without having to meet the requirement to take them.

(c) The Board may issue license duplicates upon previous verification that the applicant shows to the satisfaction of the latter that his/her original license has been lost or destroyed.
