For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings hereinbelow stated:
(a) Board. — The Board of Examiners of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technicians of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
(b) Refrigeration and air conditioning technician. — Person engaged in the installation, repair or maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment or related devices or equipment in homes, commercial establishments, industries, hotels, offices, motor vehicles, recreation and theater areas, and similar places or establishments.
(c) Association. — The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technicians Association of Puerto Rico.
(d) Employer. — Any natural or juridical person who on his own or through an agent engages himself in the practice of the commercial installation, maintenance or repair of refrigeration or air conditioning equipment.
(e) Refrigeration and air conditioning technician apprentice. — Person authorized to work under the supervision of a collegiated [sic] refrigeration and air conditioning technician, by helping and assisting him in his practice.
