§ 2057. Board of Examiners of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technicians—Duties and powers

The Board shall have the following duties and powers:

(a) To authorize the practice of the trade of refrigeration and air conditioning technician in Puerto Rico by granting a license to those persons who meet the requirements and conditions prescribed in this chapter.

(b) To keep an official register of the license issued, and a minute book of the sittings or meetings held.

(c) To select a chairman from among its members.

(d) To adopt a regulation for its internal operation, which shall be approved within the term of one (1) year after the Board has been duly constituted.

(e) To examine those persons who apply for a license and who qualify therefor, under the provisions of § 2059 of this title.

(f) To investigate violations to this chapter on its own accord or through complaint formulated before said organization by the person affected or by a refrigeration and air conditioning technician duly licensed.

(g) To cancel, permanently or provisionally, the license for reasons set forth in this chapter.

(h) To hold meetings and sittings as may be necessary to carry out its functions upon previous call of the chairman.

(i) To perform any action and to have any other power, in addition to those set forth as may be necessary, to fulfill the provisions of this chapter.
