§ 544m. Recertification after leaving military or federal service

All optometrists or certified optometrists whose license certification or recertification certificate has expired while in active service in any military facility of the United States, or the public health service of the United States, or is working full-time for any federal service, or is involved in training or education under the direct supervision of the government of the United States, shall obtain their recertification without any additional cost, provided they submit notarized sworn evidence that not more than one (1) year has passed since the termination of their military or federal service.
