§ 4003. Requirements for the members of the Board

(a) The members of the Board shall meet the following requirements:

(1) Be citizens of the United States and bona fide residents of Puerto Rico at the time of their appointment;

(2) be of good conduct;

(3) have the necessary educational background or experience of over ten (10) years;

(4) have practiced the profession for a minimum term of five (5) years, and

(5) [passed] the certification examination of their profession.

(b) No member of the Board shall be prohibited from practicing his/her profession merely for being a member of the Board.
