The Board shall have the following duties and powers.
(a) Prepare and offer licensing exams to candidates for the geologist license at least once a year.
(b) Authorize the practice of the profession of geology by granting a license to those persons who meet the requirements and conditions [set] in this chapter.
(c) Deny, suspend or revoke licenses for the reasons consigned in this chapter.
(d) Keep a register of geologists authorized to practice the profession.
(e) Keep a book of the minutes of all the events that occur in the meetings and procedures held.
(f) Adopt regulations that shall contain the provisions necessary for the performance its duties, as well as the procedure for the handling of its affairs. These regulations shall be approved within a term of three (3) months from the date the Board is constituted.
(g) Submit an annual report of its work to the Governor, informing the number of licenses issued, denied or renewed, as well as any other data requested by the Governor or deemed by the Board as pertinent to be included.
(h) Prepare and submit to the Secretary of State report of income and expenses for each fiscal year of the corresponding action, and
(i) Adopt an official seal for the processing of its affairs.
