§ 3415. License—Renewal and recertification

The license shall be renewed every three (3) years through payment of the fees established by § 3417 of this title, and shall be recertified pursuant to what is provided below.

It shall be the duty of the Board to send a printed application for renewal every three (3) years, on or before the first day of June, to every respiratory care technician to whom a license has been granted.

The Board shall establish the requirements and necessary mechanisms for the registering and recertification of these professionals every three (3) years based on continuing education and the norms provided by the corresponding professional evaluating and regulating organizations after evaluation and compliance with the requirements established through regulations. The recertification of respiratory care technicians based on the approval of the continuing education courses required by the Board shall be equivalent to a license renewal.
