A person who has been practicing as a respiratory therapy technician under medical supervision during a one (1) year term prior to an unextendable term of one (1) year immediately following the date of effectiveness of this act, and provides evidence to that effect, may obtain a respiratory care technician’s license without having to take the examination. Any person licensed in a state of the United States whose examining entities require a level of professional education equal to or greater than Puerto Rico’s, who pays the corresponding fees provided by § 3417 of this title, meets the requirements established in subsections (b) and (d) of § 3410 of this title and furnishes official evidence of his license shall be granted a provisional license whose duration and renewal shall be subject to the provisions of § 3414 of this title.
