§ 3305. Certification—Requirements

Anyone who aspires to being certified to perform as professional actor in Puerto Rico, except those minors who must also comply with the provisions of §§ 431 et seq. of Title 29, known as the “Women and Children Employment Act”, must meet the following requirements:

(a) To have performed as an actor prior to the date of accreditation in at least one (1) production staged by a professional company recognized as such, working as a lead, supporting or character actor and to have training or academic studies in an accredited school or recognized university institution.

(b) To have worked in a minimum of three (3) productions for a period of two (2) years, and presented the following documents: the recommendation of a director with whom the actor has worked, a second letter from a director with whom the actor has worked and a third letter from the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rico Actors Association.
