§ 3125. Penalties

(a) Any person who advertises as a speech-language pathologist, audiologist or speech-language therapist or who uses words, letters, phrases, abbreviations or insignias indicating that he is such without being so, or that without the proper license is engaged in the practice of any of these professions in Puerto Rico, or who employs another person who does not have a license to practice any of these professions shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished with a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100) or more than five hundred dollars ($500), or imprisonment for a term of not less than one (1) month or more than six (6) months, or both penalties, at the discretion of the court. Any person who circulates, sells, buys, passes on to anyone, or bargains with the contents of the questions or answers which constitute the revalidation examination, whether it be through an original, a copy, photocopy or any of the material used in preparing the examination or by any other means shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be sanctioned by a term of six (6) months of imprisonment.
