§ 215. Definitions

For the purposes of this chapter the following terms shall have the meaning[s] expressed below:

(a) The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.— Shall mean the Island of Puerto Rico, the Islands of Vieques, Culebra, Mona, Caja de Muertos and all other keys under the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

(b) Wild birds.— Shall mean any species of temporary or permanent resident birds whose natural breeding does not depend on the zeal, care or breeding of its owner and which is found in its natural state, whether native or having adapted to the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico; or any species of migratory birds or exotic species which have been introduced to the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
