§ 2183. Regionalization of functions

The heads of agencies may delegate to those officials thereof who are located in regional offices whatever functions and authority may be necessary or convenient for the most efficient rendering of services to the citizens, including the granting of licenses, franchises, permits, endorsements, authorizations and similar matters. The coordinated processing centers referred to in § 2182 of this title may also be established in the agencies’ regional offices.
