§ 1562. Presentation of plan or plans to Legislature

The Governor shall present the reorganization plan or plans to the Legislature, together with a declaration stating the need for their approval. The Commission created under § 1555 of this title shall carry out the proposed reorganization study or studies and shall keep the Committees on Government of the House and Senate informed of the progress of said studies for the sole purpose that these Committees may in turn inform their respective Houses about the work carried out. The Commission shall submit to the Governor one or several reports presenting its findings and recommendations on the organization, operation and procedures of the Executive Branch, in accordance with § 1555 of this title, and shall cease in its functions upon rendering its final report. The plan or plans may be presented either in a regular or a special session of the Legislature. In the case of a special session, they shall be presented on the first day of session.
