§ 1022. Collection deposit

The University of Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth Election Commission, the Carnegie Library, the Planning Board, the Highway Authority, the General Archive, and any agency or instrumentality of the Government of Puerto Rico, including public corporations, are all hereby directed to deposit with the Historical Archive of the Legislative Assembly of Puerto Rico, any existing collections in their possession pertaining to matters contemplated in §§ 1014—-1023 of this title. These entities shall implement a Work Plan that contains a protocol on document management, so that these are deposited with the Historical Archive of the Legislative Assembly within a term not to exceed one hundred eighty (180) days from the date of approval of this act, seeking a process in which required documentary care and conservation standards are not compromised. Notwithstanding the foregoing, these entities shall keep a digital copy of such documentary collections.
