The increases provided for by §§ 741-745 of this title shall not be applicable to the members of the Legislature. Neither shall §§ 741-745 of this title be applicable to the officers and employees of: the Puerto Rico Ports Authority, the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company, the Corporation of Industries for the Blind, the Puerto Rico Agricultural Company, the Land Authority of Puerto Rico, the Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico, the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, the Puerto Rico Housing Authority, the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority, the Isabela Irrigation Service, the Bank of Cooperatives of Puerto Rico, the Prison Industries Corporation of Puerto Rico, the telephone service personnel of the Puerto Rico Communications Authority, and the personnel of the University of Puerto Rico included within the exempt service established by Act No. 345 of May 12, 1947, excluding the personnel of the Agricultural Experiment Station and of the Agricultural Extension Service. §§ 741-745 of this title do not restrict the power of the above-mentioned public corporations and agencies to fix salaries and grant increases from their own funds within the norms established by the said public corporations.
