§ 714a. Entitlement to salary differential

Any career public or private employee who is not in [a] probationary period, nor working under temporary contracts, whose net income for active service in any branch of the United States of America Uniformed Services, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, or the National Disaster Medical System is less than the net salary earned in their civilian employment in any private company, Commonwealth or municipal government agency or office shall be entitled to receive the difference between his/her net salary as [a] public employee and the net income to be received during his/her active military service.

Any member of the State Guard shall be entitled to receive the difference between his/her net salary as [a] public employee and the net income that a member of the National Guard of the same rank would receive during his/her state active service.
