The Secretary may designate attorneys appointed or contracted by the Department, when he/she deems it convenient, to render services to the agencies and public corporations in those cases they so request if by this a more expedite and specialized legal representation is attained.
The public corporations in which the attorneys so designated render services are under the obligation to provide the amount for the services to be rendered by the Secretary and all those necessary expenses incurred to process the case or matter. The amount of the payments for services rendered by the attorneys designated by the Secretary shall be covered into the Special Fund created in the Commonwealth Treasury by virtue of §§ 291—295u of this title. The Secretary of the Treasury shall make available to the Department the amounts covered into said Special Fund so that the Secretary may make the disbursements that are in order, chargeable to said fund, pursuant to the regulations applicable.
