§ 3351a. Autonomous estate

Trust property or rights constitute a fully autonomous estate separate from the personal estate of the trustor, trustee, or beneficiary that is limited to a specific purpose as determined at the time of the constitution thereof.

These assets shall be exempt from any individual or joint action taken by the trustor, trustee, or the beneficiary’s creditors during the existence of the trust, except as provided in §§ 3353i et seq. of this title.
