§ 2543. Action on claims not filed within six months

Where an action is brought by a creditor on a claim which has not been filed within six (6) months from the publication of the notice to creditors, the executor or administrator shall not be liable for any assets or moneys that he may have paid on account of lawful claims or legacies or shares, before the action was begun.
