§ 2372. Duties of administrator

The administrator shall immediately take possession of the money and public effects of the decedent and shall place them with the depository designated by the court, taking a receipt therefor. He shall also take charge of the jewelry, furniture, personal effects and gathered crops which he shall keep in a secure place.
