§ 1492. Exemption from fees of loans by United States—Authentication of documents

Every public or private document executed for the purpose of contracting and securing mortgage loans, crop loans, or loans of any other nature, by the Government of the United States of America or any of its agencies or instrumentalities, as well as every other public or private document executed to evince the delivery of the amount of the loan, or the partial or full payment of such loan, as well as the total or partial cancellation of the corresponding securities; and every other public or private doucment which it may be necessary to execute in relation with such loans and the corresponding securities, shall be autheticated by any notary of Puerto Rico, or by any public officer, in the proper case, free from the fees prescribed by law.
