§ 3911. Redemption from heirs of vendee

Should the vendee leave several heirs, the action of redemption cannot be exercised against each of them, except for his respective share, whether it be undivided, or whether it has been distributed among them.

But if the inheritance has been divided, and the thing sold has been awarded to one of the heirs, the action of redemption may be brought against him for the whole.
