§ 2873. Conditional heirs; provisional division

The conditional heirs cannot request the division until the condition is complied with. But the other coheirs may request it by properly securing the right of the former in case the condition is fulfilled; and until it is known that it has not been or can no longer be complied with, the division shall be considered as provisional.
