§ 2717. Administration of property until delivery or certainty there will be none

In the term that intervenes until the delivery, or until it is certain whether or not there will be a delivery, either because there has been an abortion or because the maximum term of gestation has expired, provision shall be made for the security and the administration of the property, and the proper part of the Court of First Instance shall nominate a judicial administrator, with a bond to be fixed by the said court.

For the administration of the property of the inheritance the widow herself shall be preferred if there is no ground or sufficient reason to the contrary in the discretion of the said court.
