§ 2524. Duration of executorship—Extension of term by testator or court

Should the testator desire to extend the legal term, he must expressly fix the time of the extension. Should he not have fixed it, it shall be understood that the term is extended for one year.

If after the expiration of this extension the will of the testator should not yet have been complied with, the Court of First Instance may grant another term for the time which may be necessary, in view of the circumstances of the case.
