§ 2491. Payment of periodical pensions

If a periodical pension, or a fixed annual, monthly, or weekly sum is bequeathed, the legatee may demand the first payment upon the death of the testator, and the following ones at the beginning of each period, without any right of reimbursement, even though the legatee should die before the expiration of the period begun.
