Should a jury not be obtained for the trial of a cause from all the jurors selected by the commissioners, the court may proceed forthwith and supply a sufficient number of juror for the trial of said cause. The court shall direct the marshal to summon a sufficient number of qualified persons as such jurors until such jury for the trial of said cause is completed.
