§ 563. Name of defendant

When a defendant is charged by a fictitious or erroneous name, and in any stage of the proceedings his true name is discovered, it shall be inserted in subsequent proceedings, but reference shall be made to the fact that he has been charged by the name mentioned in the indictment.
