§ 10714. Transitory provision

Notwithstanding the provisions of Act No. 7 of March 9, 2009, as amended, and § 30208 of this title, known as the “Internal Revenue Code for a New Puerto Rico”, the Department of the Treasury may grant up to the sum of thirty million dollars ($30,000,000) per fiscal year, plus any amount not adjudicated from the aggregate amount of credits available under § 10712(c) of this title to cover the tax credits for investments made, and tax credit requests filed before the date of approval of this act, with respect to the construction of new solid waste reduction, disposal, and/or treatment facilities, as defined in subsection (g) of Section 21 of Act No. 70 of June 23, 1978, as amended, known as the “Puerto Rico Solid Waste Authority Act,” but only if said new solid waste reduction, disposal and/or treatment facilities are not financed, in whole or in, part by the Government of Puerto Rico. The credit shall be calculated in accordance with the provisions of Section 21 of the “Puerto Rico Solid Waste Authority Act,” as in effect immediately before the approval of this act.
