Whenever by any law the Secretary of the Treasury of Puerto Rico, or any other officer, is authorized to accept bonds or other specified securities of Puerto Rico, as a deposit for any purpose, similar authority is hereby conferred upon said officer or officers to accept bonds of the municipal corporations and school boards of Puerto Rico, issued according to law.
