§ 2312. Revenue from licenses

Any revenue collected on account of licenses shall be entered into the books of the Secretary of the Treasury apart from any other funds that the Department of Consumer Affairs sees fit to receive. These funds shall be accounted for without a specific natural year. Once five (5) years of effectiveness of this act have passed, the collections on account of this concept shall be covered into the General Fund of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico; Provided, That prior to using the resources deposited in the Special Fund, the Secretary must submit annually for approval by the Office of Management and Budget, an expense budget to be charged to these funds. The remainder of the funds not used or obligated for the purposes of this chapter shall be transferred on June 30 of each fiscal year, to the General Fund of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The income collected may be used by the Department to contract consulting personnel, the acquisition and replacement of equipment, purchase of materials and in anything that has the purpose of improving and expediting the processes followed by the Department.
