§ 2253. Penalties

(a) Any natural or juridical person who violates the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a public offense and each day the same violation is incurred shall be deemed as a separate offense. If convicted, a punishment of imprisonment for a term which shall not exceed six (6) months or a fine which shall not exceed five hundred dollars ($500) or both penalties shall be imposed at the discretion of the court.

(b) The Secretary of Consumer Affairs may impose administrative fines for violations of the provisions of this chapter and the regulations or orders issued pursuant to it as provided in § 341q of Title 3.
