§ 1741. Consent of debtor not required

Commercial credits, which are not negotiable nor payable to the bearer, may be transferred by the creditor without requiring the consent of the debtor, it being sufficient that the transfer be communicated to him.

The debtor shall be obligated to the new creditor by virtue of the notification, and from the time said transfer is made the only legal payment shall be considered that made to the latter.
