Any contract condition, stipulation or provision binding any person to evade or waive compliance with any provision of this chapter or any regulation or order thereunder shall be void ab initio. This section shall not be construed to void the lawful portion of a contract that may be severed from the unlawful portion thereof. Moreover, it shall not have the effect of precluding a cause for action for unjust enrichment.
