§ 1073. Obtaining a license; exceptions

No person, except those excluded from the applicability of this chapter, banks authorized to do business in Puerto Rico, trust companies, federal agencies or entities of the Government of Puerto Rico, credit and savings cooperative banks, government retirement systems, federal savings and loan associations, insurance companies authorized to do business in Puerto Rico, and natural persons who grant loans or financing with a combined annual volume of business that does not exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000), may engage in the financial intermediation business without first obtaining a license issued by the Commissioner, as provided in this chapter.
